This is R.K. Jamesson, writing from the road. I spent yesterday in Knoxville, TN, where it's not Happy Holidays, it's Merry Christmas. I met Rene Londivision, the third grader who started a microradio station and broadcasted a marathon session of faith-based fury, capturing a First Place in the Extremely Rural category (0.05 residents / sq km). The bible says the first shall be last and the last shall be first. In Rene's case that's true, since as the only competitor in his sparsely populated district, technically he also came in last.
Rene showed me his studio, from which he had transmitted a narration of the Creation in real-time, over a 7-day period, during which he fasted, did not sleep, and wore a t-shirt with an Intel-like logo that read "Powered by Prayer".
He plans to go on the air with logistical news and information when Judgement Day arrives. If he ascends into Heaven while he's on the air, I hope he has time to fill out his FCC logs!
